Description: Printer's Row is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organized Production Intern to support the production and manufacturing of custom and short run books for Printer's Row. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and academic credit with a diverse range of print formats—from stunning four-color art books and cookbooks to various custom publishing projects.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented learner with a keen interest in book manufacturing and publishing workflows. You'll assist the Production team in managing a high volume of diverse book formats, ensuring they're produced on schedule and within budget. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with various internal departments, including Editorial, Art & Design, and Managing Editorial, as well as with external vendors. This role requires someone who can thrive in a deadline-driven, highly collaborative, team-oriented environment. You'll get a chance to see how creativity and practical constraints balance out in the process of bringing a book to life.

We are open to both in person and remote interns
Length of Internship: Minimum of 15 weeks
Requirements: A strong interest in the book production process and the book publishing industry.

Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Adobe design suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat. Microsoft Office or Google Suite, particularly Excel / Google Sheets (basic math and data organization skills are a plus).

A resourceful, positive, and proactive attitude, with a desire to learn quickly.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Familiarity with graphic design or color correction principles is a plus, but not required.

Familiarity with Adobe software suite and basic understanding of ebook formats is a plus.
